Overview

Project Performance Group (PPG) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), provider number 90922, for assessment of project management qualifications. The Australian National Competency Standards for Project Management (ANCSPM) are part of the Business Services Training Package and include three (3) qualifications.

  • Certificate IV in Project Management
  • Diploma of Project Management
  • Advanced Diploma of Project Management

What’s Involved

Step 1: Online Assessment

Candidates must complete an online assessment using PM Rapid Assess. The assessment includes two (2) components:

  1. Knowledge Assessment
The knowledge assessment consists of a set of randomly generated multiple choice questions that assesses knowledge of accepted Project Management terminology and concepts - based on the PMBoK® Guide or APMBoK
  2. Skills Assessment
The skills assessment is an assessment of the use of Project Management practices using the ANCSPM If significant gaps in competence are revealed through the assessment, candidates will need to continue development through work experience, training, coaching and/or reading and self study.

Once all gaps are bridged candidates can move to step 2.

Step 2: Gather Portfolio of Evidence

Providing Step 1 has been satisfied and there are minimal or no gaps in competence, candidates must gather an electronic portfolio of evidence using the evidence guide provided. Evidence must be provided from at least two project(s). It is estimated that this should take no more than four (4) hours for a well prepared candidate. Candidates are required to provided evidence for the following units

Results of each assessment are entered into the online system by each assessor within seven (7) days of the assessment and results are posted on the candidate’s personal (secure) homepage. These can be accessed by logging into the online system using their personal username and password.

Step 4: Certificate Issued

On successful completion candidates will receive a certificate with the VETAB and Nationally Recognised Training logos. This qualification is recognised nationally by all training and assessment organisations within the National Qualification Framework.
